Who is responsible?

What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, chosen display name, password hash, and your choice to show or hide your identity. You may add an avatar, country, city or club. Optional venue features process the approximate or precise location you choose to share; we do not continuously track your location. Friend relationships are stored when you use invitations; we do not upload your phone address book. Matches and groups store participants, scores, timing, invitations and scorekeeping actions. Notification tokens identify the device to which an invitation or match notification should be delivered. We also process technical session and security data needed to operate the service.
Why we use it
We use these data to provide accounts, invitations, shared scorekeeping, match history and rankings; to protect accounts and prevent abuse; and to answer requests. Spontaneous unranked matches use a private guest session and are stored on the server for synchronization; they do not award ranking points. Optional workouts use device permissions for available steps, heart rate and energy measurements. Heart rate, energy and full workout history stay owner-only. Steps and measured wrist-motion summaries are automatically compared among authorized match players, without an additional sharing opt-in. These measurements do not affect rankings and are not included in public displays. We do not sell personal data.
Visibility and sharing
Your profile visibility choice controls whether your name appears in public rankings. Other participants can see the match and group information needed to play together. Anyone holding a valid view invitation can see its limited live score; a scoring invitation allows changes after sign-in. Do not share invitation links with people who should not have access.
Providers and transfers
The live service stores identity and match data in separate server databases. Infomaniak delivers account email. Apple and Google provide optional sign-in and device notifications. If you choose provider sign-in, we receive its account identifier and the basic profile information you authorize. Our server is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland. Apple and Google may process sign-in and notification data outside Switzerland, including the USA, under their privacy and transfer terms. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards. We do not use advertising tracking or sell personal or health data.
Retention and your choices
You can request access, correction or deletion of your account. Account and match records remain until you delete them or request deletion. Deleting an account revokes sessions and removes its profile, avatar, notification tokens, memberships and personal associations with shared results; records belonging to other players may remain without your account association. Temporary server cleanup failures are retried. Use Account settings or playtali.com/delete-account, or contact us to request access, correction or deletion. Apple Health and Health Connect records remain under your control in those services; deleting Playtali data does not delete their independent records. Scheduled backup and restore protection has not been enabled; we do not promise recovery of deleted data. You can change public profile visibility in your account and withdraw device permissions in device settings. Contact us for portability or to object where applicable. You may complain to your competent data-protection authority, including the Swiss FDPIC. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.
